Welcome to Sarnia Artists Workshop, a vibrant hub for creativity and artistic expression in the heart of Sarnia.
Founded by passionate local artists in 1964, our mission is to empower individuals to explore their artistic potential in a nurturing environment. Whether you're an experienced artist or a novice, our doors are open for you to learn, create, and grow. We offer a variety of workshops in painting, pastels, drawing, jewelry and more, led by experienced artists who focus on developing your techniques and style. At SAW, we believe in the power of art to transform lives and build community.
Come and be a part of our creative journey. We are constantly looking for something new and exciting in the visual arts arena. We encourage our members and new members to lead workshops where we can all expand our experience and growth.
If you are a VISITOR, and would like to become a member, here are a few things you might want to know. A group of approximately 20 to 25 meet the first and the third Wednesday of the month from 1 :00 PM to 3:30 PM for a workshop at Grace United Church. ( please checkout workshop schedule found in the box headings for details)
You will need to sign up for each workshop, so we know how many settings and materials are needed. There is currently a set limit of 25 persons for each workshop. As a guest you can attend 2 workshops at a cost of $5.00 for each workshop. If you would like to attend more, you will need to become a member. There is a yearly cost of $45.00 for membership and at each workshop there is a $5.00 fee for everyone attending to cover the cost for materials and an instructor.
Workshops are available only during the day and they are always held at Grace United Church.
